FMVSS 105 New Vehicle Performace Test

Abex then tests their product on test tracks and in real life traffic, in major cities across the nation
including Los Angeles,Ca.  This test covers the following rigorous tests:

1. 1st Effectiveness With new pads (unburnished) :
a.
From 30 mph & pedal force of 15 -150 lbs. A stopping distance of lessthan 57 feet in at
    least 1 of six stops.
b.From 60 mph & pedal force of 15 - 150 lbs.  A stopping distance of less than 57 feet in at
   least 1 of six stops.

2. 2nd Effectiveness With broken pads (burnished) :
a.
From 30 mph & pedal force os 15 - 150 lbs. A stopping force of less than 54 feet in at
    least 1 of six stops.
b. From 60 mph & pedal force of 15 - 150 lbs. A stopping force of less than 204 feet in at
    least 1 of six stops.
c. From 80 mph & pedal force of 15 - 150 lbs.  A stopping distance of less than 383 feet in at
    least 1 of six stops.

3. Parking Brake Effectiveness (30% Grade)
   
Parking brake shall hold vehicle stationary in both uphill and sown hill aspects at both
    LLVW¹ and GVRW².

4. 3rd Effectiveness LLVW¹ :
    From 60 mph & pedal force of 15 - 150 lbs. A stopping distance of less than 194 feet in at
    least 1 of six stops.

5. Partial System Failure LLVW¹ :
a.
Front brakes only from 60 mph & pedal force of 15 - 150 lbs. A stopping distance of less
    than 456 feet in at least 1 of four stops.
b. Rear brakes only from 60 mph & pedal force of 15 - 150 lbs. A stopping distance of less
    than 456 feet in at least 1 of four stops.

6. Partial System Failure GVRW² :
a.
Front brakes only from 60 mph & pedal force of 15 - 150 lbs. A stopping distance of less
    than 456 feet in at least 1 of four stops.
b. Rear brakes only from 60 mph & pedal force of 15 - 150 lbs. A stopping distance of less
    than 456 feet in at least 1 of four stops.

7. Inoperative Power unit:
   
From 60 mph & pedal force of 15 - 150 lbs. A stopping distance of less
    than 456 feet in at least 1 of four stops.

8. 1st Fade & Recovery (Baseline):
   
3 stops from 30 mph to 0 at 10fps² and pedal force between 10 - 60 lbs.

9. 1st Fade & Recovery (Fade) :
 
  10 stops from 60 mph to 0 & pedal force between 15 - 150 lbs.
   a. Stops 1 through 5 deceleration at 15fps².
    b. Stops 6 through 10 deceleration at maximum possible deceleration.
