CALIPERS: Brake calipers should be replaced in pairs.
Removal and replacement instructions are available for most vehicles in do it
yourself publications such as Chilton or Motors manuals for your specific make
and model. Make sure when removing the caliper from the mounting bracket that
you do not let the caliper hang by the brake hose. This is a common way of
damaging the hose internally causing potential problems with the installation
of the new caliper. Also, once the caliper is detached from the hose be sure
to inspect the hose, and keep dirt and other contaminants away from it.
We recommend the use of DOT 4 brake fluid as a replacement to DOT 3 when
flushing out your system before reinstallation of your remanufactured
calipers.
